benign thyroid nodules

The Procedure

See how this patients quality of life improved after treatment

The procedure is performed using only local anaesthetic. Under ultrasound guidance a small needle-like probe is placed into the thyroid gland and the target nodule is treated. The process takes approximately an hour and you are discharged home later the same day.
Long-Term Results
Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation is unfortunately not suitable for all patients with thyroid nodules. As part of your initial assessment you will be seen by an ENT Surgeon and have an ultrasound scan to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.
